Why FERDEN exists
In Norway, we go out. To the mountains, on skis, into the forest, along the coast. It's part of who we are. But good tools for planning — and for sharing where you are — have been scattered across many apps, locked behind subscriptions, or built for an entirely different country.

The founder
An app I wanted myself.
FERDEN started from my own need: to head out and know that someone I trust can follow along — without expensive gadgets or subscriptions. Safety shouldn't cost extra.
Then it grew: routes, gear, weather, avalanche data, and a small community around the trips. But the core is the same — plan your journey, share the safety.
